The Peters Drumstick Arena at the IGA Royal Show came alive Friday October 4, when 23 of Perth’s favourite mascots competed inthe mix94.5 Grand Mascot Race for Telethon.
mix94.5’s Freddy Botica and Lisa Shaw hosted an exciting race of thrills and spills and over $23,000 was raised for Telethon.
1st: Captain Hurricane (aka The Green Man) from Hammond Park Junior Football Club was the 2013 Grand Mascot Champion
2nd: Gary the Gecko from the Shire of Roebourne
3rd: Rick the Rock from the West Coast Eagles.
Crowd favourite Fat Cat came in a respectable second last!
