A Challenge with Heart
Thanks to the Build Now Foundation’s incredible team of builders and volunteers, the challenge will not only be about speed but about making a real difference in people’s lives. The foundation, known for its inspiring building projects for families in need, is stepping up to show that even small gestures—like providing children with a special place for their toys, books, and treasures—can have a big impact.
Each cubby is W 2m x D 2m x H 2.25m and will be handcrafted during the Telethon Family Festival on Sunday October 20, where festival-goers can watch the magic unfold. It’s a testament to how we can come together as a community to help those who need it most.
For many families with children facing ongoing health issues, organising their homes with furniture like cubbies can be out of reach. Yet, creating a fun and accessible space can make a huge difference in the lives of children, offering them comfort, security, and a sense of ownership over their personal space.

We’re asking for your help! If you know of a child or family who could benefit from this giveaway, we encourage you to nominate them for a chance to receive one of these custom-built cubbies. Whether they’re facing ongoing health issues, recovering from hardship, or simply deserve a boost, this is a perfect opportunity to show your support.
To nominate a child, complete this simple form and tell us how we can personalise it with their favourite theme. All nominations must be submitted by 30 September 2024. We’re looking for families supported by one of our 136 Telethon beneficiaries who truly need this small but meaningful gift, and we can’t wait to share these cubbies with them!
