On the market for an average of just 16 days, Upper Swan is on its way to becoming a highly-sought-after suburb for property buyers.
Sales have grown more than 14 per cent in the past year with a median house price of $800,000, according to the latest data from REIWA.
And thanks to Telethon, keen buyers will this year have the chance to buy into the suburb on the doorstep of the Swan Valley — all in the name of helping some of the State’s sickest kids.
Listed at $950,000 and expected to sell north of $1 million, this year’s Telethon Home exemplifies contemporary rural living just minutes away from some of the State’s best wineries, breweries, and venues.
On Thursday night, guests got an exclusive first look at the new home nestled in the Clementine Estate alongside Ellen Brook Nature Reserve.
It is the first Telethon Home built in the Swan Valley region, offering the charm of rural living while still being just 35km from Perth’s CBD.
Thanks to the generosity of Satterley Property Group, which donated the 762 square metre corner lot, and Blueprint Homes, which donated the complete house build, 100 per cent of the proceeds from the sale will go towards supporting sick, disadvantaged and vulnerable children across WA.
The home features high ceilings, four spacious, fully-furnished bedrooms, two bathrooms and an entertainer’s dream kitchen which opens onto superb outdoor living spaces.
Upper Swan has something for everyone, located just a short drive from Bells Rapids and the Ellenbrook Speedway.
For those who enjoy a nice drop, some of WA’s best wineries, distilleries and breweries are just around the corner including Sandalford Wines, Old Young’s Distillery, and Funk Brewshed.
The Telethon Home is also less than 10 minutes from Belvoir Amphitheatre where artists including Hoodoo Gurus, Lorde, and Mumford & Sons have played.
It is the first time Blueprint Homes have been a part of building the Telethon Home, which they built in a record five months.
“This is our first year that we’ve been privileged enough to be part of it thanks to Nigel Satterley and Telethon,” general manager Craig Park said.
“It was about a five and a half month build time frame, which of course is not done on a broader basis but it is because it is a Telethon home.
“It is because of all the amazing trades, people and suppliers who have really come to the party and been available when we needed them to be available and delivered on such an amazing product that we have here now to realise the value for Telethon.”
Satterley chief executive Nigel Satterley AM said he was confident the home would sell for over $1 million with the funds going directly to Telethon.
“It is just wonderful how Craig has pulled all the trades and the suppliers together to work for a team to raise money for children that aren’t as healthy as a lot of us,” he said.
“This is a great part of the world so there are attractions both summer and winter and established facilities plus you’ve got the brand new Ellenbrook train station forecast to be operating by Christmas.”
The house is on the market from today with inspections from 2-5pm on Wednesdays and 1-5pm on weekends.
Every other day is by appointment only.
